Fly With Pride: Pride Flag Butterfly Art Series

5/10/2019

Last week, I shared an open art collab that featured a butterfly with intricate stained glass wings.

Today, I finally get to unveil what I've been working on for almost two weeks: a series of butterfly designs based on 17 different pride flags!

These butterflies' stained glass wings include a few symbolic elements:

- Hearts, to represent love. This could mean romantic love, platonic friendship, or the self-love required to take the time to truly understand yourself and accept your unique orientation, gender identity, and other traits.

- Diamonds, which can represent engagement rings, strength, value, and - if you're into Homestuck - the nonsexual romance of moiraillegiance.

- Leaf shapes, to represent life and growth.

This artwork is available on T-shirts, blankets, art prints, coffee mugs and more in Society6 and RedBubble.

Society6 continues to lack a "view all items with this art on them" option, but you can see my latest products from newest to oldest here.

And here are the RedBubble links to each version of the butterfly:

I'm not going to make a separate product preview collage for each of these - that would take WAAAY too long, especially after I've already spent two weeks working on this pattern - but here's what a few versions of this butterfly look like on some of the available products:
