New Print-On-Demand Pattern: Regal Duality

Whew, yesterday was a productive day. Three panels of Just Cause, and my most intricate symmetrical pattern to date, on top of all my other work.

I'm really happy with the way this one turned out.

These patterns make for a nice change of pace when I'm tired of the restriction of needing to create a specific shape, and I just want to make something beautiful while drawing whatever I want and letting it take shape as I go.

This pattern is available on a variety of products in my Society6 store. Here are a few of the items I think it looks especially good on:

New Print-On-Demand Symmetric Pattern: Blue Starflower

Man, these symmetric patterns are fun to draw. And this time I made it at print resolution, so I can share it in my Society6 store!

I tried to remake my first symmetric pattern at print size, but one of the main brushes I used for it simply refuses to function at that size (its maximum size is a grand total of one pixel), so I had to put that one on the back burner until I can find a substitute for that brush. :(

Symmetric Pattern: Woven Flower

I've been following a fellow artist, CatSpaceDesign, on DeviantArt for a while, and was inspired by her beautiful and intricate designs.
 
She published a basic symmetric pattern tutorial a while back, and I finally got around to using it to make a design of my own.

It's a lot simpler than most of her designs, and a bit rough in a couple places, but I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. I think I'll be making more of these in the future, on the days when I feel like drawing something other than Just Cause.

WHEN in the future, I'm not sure; I've learned to be cautious about making commitments to side projects, haha. But it was nice to draw something a bit less mentally demanding than a webcomic, and to just draw whatever looks nice and let it evolve as I went.

That moment when you're so skittish around adults that you won't tell one you might be in mortal danger, for fear of making her mad.

There wasn't a Patreon work-in-progress preview for this one because it was so darn short, so to make up for it, I gave my $1 and up Patrons an exclusive peek at a few of the funny-looking art bloopers I've had in the course of drawing Just Cause.
