Frisk has a LOT of insecurities, and that fight and its aftermath touched on far too many of them, like fingers in an open wound. They desperately need a grownup who will love them and refuse to hurt them unconditionally, but in a place like this, those are in short supply.
But hey, there's no situation so bad that a talking flower can't make it worse!
